Create a Memento

They say that youth is wasted on the young. I think what is really meant is that we all too often don’t take the time to cherish moments when they are happening and only in hindsight, do we truly appreciate how our lives unfold. While some of us spend way too much time taking pictures of our breakfast, others are learning to appreciate time spent with friends. Maybe you haven’t seen each other in a while or maybe you just want to let them know that they are important to you, no matter how often you see them. Those photos become even more valuable when we write on them to mark the experience; it’s your personal stamp that can make an ordinary moment feel extraordinary. And years from now, when you look back, you will be drawn in just a bit more and feel what you felt when it was happening. To quote Tony Stark’s father, “No amount of money has ever bought a second of time.” And I would add to that my own observations that most extraordinary events, begin as ordinary ones… and only hindsight can tell them apart.
